We are in the middle of painting the inside of our house. The kitchen, breakfast room, dining room, living room and two hall ways have been painted. The kitchen cabinets will be painted next week.
The house is in a shambles but we love the new colors – red fox and gold coin. The painters thought we were Aggies because of the ‘maroon’ color. Our alma mater is Southwest Texas State U whose colors are maroon and gold. Didn’t even think about that when we picked these colors.
Bill also plans to paint all bedrooms and the guest bath in a combination of these colors.
Red Fox
I love the freshness of a new paint job. Not only do the walls look new and fresh but I also get an opportunity to do major dusting, sweeping, and mopping. Things that don’t normally get touched because they are out of sight now are visible so the motivation is there to clean. And, when you have a black lab that sheds badly and a calico cat that also sheds, there is much to clean up, even on a daily basis.
