I am truly a gadget geek. I want all new things when they first come out. I got this from my dad who loved gadgets as well.
My newest gadget:
I’m hooked on several games on my iPad. One is WeRule. I downloaded it on March 20, the first day it came out and have been playing ever since. I have a kingdom that I build and buy and sell from/to my “friends.” here’s a pic of part of my kingdom. Add me as a friend – txladyjan. Or play Words with Friends.
… two days late. Forgot all about it this week. So if you are following my Snapshot Sundays, sorry about that.
Today in the email my sister-in-law sent a message about relaxing on the beach in China. What do you think? Is this a place you could relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of your life?
I’ve been interested in family history off and on for quite a few years. The time I spend on it comes and goes in spurts. I received an email from a cousin on the East coast that I have never met. Our first communication came last year after my uncle died. It appears that the Rimmers have a family reunion every summer in North Carolina. He was sending out details of this year’s reunion.
I looked into going, my two cousins in Virginia were contemplating it as well. Unfortunately, Berkley’s accident will keep me from going this summer but I’m marking it down for next year. It seems that Rimmers and descendants of Rimmers come from NC, AR, TN, SC, GA, VA, MS, even the UK.
What fun this would be to meet relatives I never knew I had.
It’s amazing what can happen in an instant.. good as well as bad.
I missed Snapshot Sunday yesterday partly because of the events that unfolded. Don’t remember what I was going to use even if I had one picked out. This is the one I will post now…
All it took was an instant for Berkley to be hit by a car. What an emotionally draining two days. There are still many days of uncertainties ahead of us as he faces surgery and recovery. Everything right now is day by day or even an hour by hour. The hard part is leaving him at the hospital for several days. But, the doctor feels things will work out for the best and he will lead a normal life.
Going back over the entire incident, I keep running over things that I could have done differently to prevent this. But hindsight is always better than foresight.
I love my Berkley and am glad he is going to be OK…
